Takeshi Yamada’s “Freak Baby Museum” on Display
Takeshi Yamada (MFA ‘87) is exhibiting “Freak Baby Museum” at the Feast of San Gennaro festival at Little Italy in Manhattan, New York from September 16 – 26. This classic circus sideshow features six freak human babies (rogue taxidermy) such as two-headed baby, octopus baby (3 arms and 4 legs), mermaid baby, penguin baby, lobster baby, and three-headed baby, which were created by Yamada with medical specimen level super realism based on real museum specimens of deformed human babies, with real human skins (of Yamada) mounted on the surface. Limited time special exhibition during the popular annual festival.
