Susan Funkenstein To Present at CAA

Stamps Lecturer Susan Funkenstein will be speaking at CAA (College Art Association) about ArtDes 151: Art & Design History, the course she teaches at Stamps. A distinctive course tied to the uniqueness of the Stamps curriculum, Art & Design History does not separate art from design, as most survey courses do, but instead examines thematic parallels, intersections, and collaborations between artists and designers from 1850 to the present. Funkenstein will explore how she has constructed themes and assignments, and how she has intertwined the histories of art and design in previously underexplored ways. Her presentation at the New York City conference will be on February 15, 2017.
