Stéphanie Morissette: Through the Vulture’s Eye

Work by Stéphanie Morissette (MFA ’24) is featured in Through the Vulture’s Eye, a solo exhibition on view through September 7, 2025 at the Sherbrooke Fine-Arts Museum in Canada.
Between animal and vegetation, Through the Vulture’s Eye, a large paper installation welcomes the visitors into a massive repetition of forms, a “mise en abîme” and an uncanny environment.
Multidisciplinary artist Stéphanie Morissette creates here an immersive environments in which plant and animal forms intertwine. Through this strange, hybrid “vegetation”, she invites the viewer to question the relationship between nature and human beings . Walking through the exhibition space transformed into an imaginary forest, museum-goers are taken on a narrative journey where feathers and leaves cast dramatic shapes and shadows.
