Ryan Fox’s (BFA 1999, Drawing/Painting) painting, “Arch in Washington Square Park” was chosen for inclusion in the 151st International Juried Exhibition of the American Watercolor Society in New York City. This marks Fox’s third acceptance in the prestigious show and grants him signature status. Artists can apply for the status of Signature Member when they have demonstrated great skill and a consistent style over time. Signature membership is a monumental achievement shared with such notable members as Andrew Wyeth, Edward Hopper, and Winslow Homer.
Since returning to painting in ’11 after an eleven year absence, Ryan has achieved signature status with state watercolor societies in Georgia, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Missouri, and North Carolina (GWS, IWS, PWS, MOWS, WSNC). His colorful watercolors have won awards in The American Watercolor Society (AWS), Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors, Missouri Watercolor Society, Georgia Watercolor Society (GWS), and Watercolor Society of North Carolina juried shows. His work has been featured in Watercolor Artist Magazine and Splash 15, 16, & 19 hardcover books published by F+W Media.
