October 30, 2019

On October 23, 2019, Associate Professor Roland Graf presented the work of his iGYM team on inclusive play at CHI PLAY in Barcelona, Spain, where it received the Best Paper Award (top 1% of submissions).

CHI PLAY is an international and interdisciplinary conference (by ACM SIGCHI) for researchers and professionals across all areas of play, games and human-computer interaction (HCI). We call this area “player-computer interaction.”

iGYM is an inclusive exergame system that uses projected augmented reality to create a room-sized, interactive game environment. It gives players with mobility disabilities and those without the opportunity to play head-to-head in a traditional, physical sport setting. Learn more.
