Rey Jeong: Assistant Professor of Studio Art at CSU Sacramento

Rey Jeong (MFA ​’21) joined California State University, Sacramento, in 2023 as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Studio Art, where she specializes in socially engaged art or social practice. Rey is currently developing a social practice curriculum for the art department. She has also secured CSU STEM NET funding to create an interdisciplinary project that connects high school students, their parents, and engineers to design sustainable energy solutions. This initiative, developed in collaboration with faculty from Engineering and Sociology, bridges the gap between artists, the public, and engineers through socially engaged art, fostering creative solutions for real-world challenges.
