Professor Emilia Yang Faculty Fellow At The Institute Of Humanities
A cohort of eleven U‑M faculty members and eight graduate students, including Emilia Yang, Assistant Professor Stamps School of Art and Design, will be fellows at the institute during the 2024 – 25 academic year.
The cohort will reside at the institute during their fellowship, forming an intellectual community while pursuing original research and participating in regular, cross-disciplinary fellows’ seminars. This year’s fellowship recipients represent diverse disciplines, including Middle East studies, sociology, anthropology, social work, art and design, and American culture.
Emilia will be working on her book manuscript, “Rebellious Memories: Expanded Archives and Technologies in the Americas,” which aims to delineate the ethical challenges and implications communities face when collecting memories of violence through digital technologies.
