Okyoung Noh Explores Feminist Futures in "Present Futures" Exhibition
Okyoung Noh (MFA’ 25) participates in the exhibition Present Futures: Experiments in Feminist Futurity. Her documentary and performance film, I Take Care of You and (We) Survive (2024), will be featured in the show.
Present Futures is a semester-long exhibition that will be held from September 12 to 13, 2024, at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania, along with the two-day Transnational Feminist Networks Symposium.
The exhibition envisions feminist solidarities across space and time, in everyday life, with an outlook towards “The future we want to see, right now, in the present.”
Selected artworks interpret the quotidian practices of the everyday as a means of consistently cultivating radical feminist knowledge, sustaining networks of care, and articulating communal resistance within and beyond territorial borders in often unspectacular and unglamorous ways.
The exhibit’s curatorial team is Cienna Davis, Lucila Rozas Urrunaga, Simron Gill, Valentina Proust, and Azsaneé Truss.
The exhibition will be displayed in the Plaza and the Forum of the Annenberg School by November 19, 2024.
