Neil Zemba Wins Future Sole Contest

Zemba poses with mentor and Nike Design Director Wilson W. Smith III

A&D sophomore Neil Zemba recently made history as the first college division winner of the national Future Sole design competition.

Zemba was charged with creating a design for the Nike N7 label that’s concerned with supporting athletics for native American tribes in the US and Canada. You’ll see plenty of native inspiration on these sleek runners, from the black/turquoise colorway which is said to evoke the crow and friendship, respectively, to the Huarache-like heel counter.
