Stamps Teaching Professor Melanie Manos debuted two new participatory performances as part of Queer Touch, an evening of durational performance. Reaching (I Am)” creates space for extended and overlapping expression, while Lead and Follow/Follow and Lead” invites de/re-constructing of gendered dance roles. Both performance works begin with solo movement and gradually invite participatory action.

Curated by Emerson Granillo (MFA 23), Queer Touch took place on July 11, 2025 at Sometimes Space, a project founded by Stamps Lecturer Nathan Byrne (MFA 21) in Ypsilanti, MI.
