Marcia Przeslawski: The Gifts of Christmas

Attorney and Stamps alumna Marcia Francis Przeslawski (BFA ​’11) recently authored and illustrated The Gifts of Christmas, a new children’s book that blends holiday tradition and Christian faith to bring the story of Christmas to life for young readers.

After I had my twin daughters in 2021, I was searching for a children’s book that would help me connect the traditions of Santa’s gift giving with the birth of Jesus on Christmas day. When I could not find what I was looking for, I was inspired to create my own, and the Gifts of Christmas was born. I authored and illustrated the book with pencil, watercolor, and acrylic paints. Then, I scanned the originals and retouched them digitally to become print ready. My illustrations are inspired by my family and upbringing.
