Mallory Baran: ArtPrize

Mallory Baran (BFA 2011) will be participating in ArtPrize this year in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Baran’s work, a series of seven concrete sculptures titled ​“Concretely The Remix”, will be on display outside at the Grand Rapids Public Museum. This series is a continuation of Baran’s senior Integrative Project, ​“Concretely”. Interested in natural phenomena and human manipulation, Concretely The Remix is an exploration in taming the utilitarian material that is concrete into sculptural forms. ArtPrize runs from September 19^th — October 7^th.
