Lindsay Farris: Superbloom Exhibition
Work by Stamps Alumna Lindsay Farris (BFA ’10) is featured in Superbloom, her debut solo exhibition, on view October 4 — November 23 at Hard Gallery in Detroit, MI.
Farris’ show features a collection of new acrylic on canvas and paper works highlighting her affinity for colors and abstraction. Superbloom is her biggest showing since a Winter ’19 Playground Detroit window installation at the David Klein Gallery.
“Visually,” Farris says, “I took inspiration from flowers. And in most of the pieces, I used a technique that allows the paint to “bloom” across the canvas.”
“On a personal level, I had two months to produce the work — a tight deadline expedited a lot of artistic growth. So the whole show is about blooming.”
Superbloom will be on display Friday – Saturday from 2 – 4pm, Monday 2 – 6pm, and at any other time by appointment.
