Julianna Sanromán: "Where We Still Meet" at Detroit Artists Market

A vibrant promotional poster for an art exhibition titled "WHERE WE STILL MEET" featuring artist Julianna Sanromán. The background is a textured, Impressionist-style painting of several women in blue tops and yellow skirts, partially obscured by clusters of small red and green rice-like grains. The exhibition dates are listed as April 17 – May 16, 2026.

Work by Stamps MFA candidate Julianna Sanromán is featured in Where We Still Meet, a new solo exhibition opening April 17 at Detroit Artists Market.

Sanromán (MFA 27) is a multidisciplinary artist from Detroit working across painting, installation, and community-based altar practices. As the daughter of deported parents, Sanromán approaches separation as an ongoing condition; lived through memory, waiting, and the spaces between connection. Her practice embraces dreaming as a way of staying close, where time bends and multiple futures can exist at once.
