Jennifer Metsker: Poetry at Literati

On Friday, April 7, Stamps Lecturer and Writing Coordinator Jennifer Metsker will read from her book Hypergraphia and Other Failed Attempts at Paradise at Ann Arbor’s Literati bookstore. The event will also feature Katie Hartsock reading from her new book Wolf Trees: Poems.

Katie Hartsock is the author of two poetry collections, Wolf Trees (2023) and Bed of Impatiens (2016), both from Able Muse Press. Her poems appear widely, in journals such as Ecotone, Poetry, Kenyon Review, 32 Poems, the Threepenny Review, Birmingham Poetry Review, Greensboro Review, Pleiades, Dappled Things, the New Criterion, and Beloit Poetry Journal. She is an associate professor of English and Creative Writing at Oakland University in Michigan. She lives in Ann Arbor with her husband and their young sons. 

Jennifer Metsker is the author of the poetry collection Hypergraphia and Other Failed Attempts at Paradise which won the Editor’s Prize from New Issues Press. Her poetry has appeared in Beloit, Rhino, Birdfeast, Gulf Coast, The Cream City Review and other journals. Most recently her work can be found in The Dialogist, Pigeon Pages, and THE SHORE. She has had audio poetry periodically featured on the BBC radio show Short Cuts. She lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where she is the Writing Coordinator at the Stamps School of Art and Design.
