Bronze sculpture by Isaac Krauss (BFA 2010) will be featured at ArtPrize 2011.

My purpose as sculptor is to excite and entertain the viewing audience with large, intensely detailed works. I began sculpting at a young age, ceramics in high school drove my interest in sculpture into deep passion. I began to understand technique, material properties, concept, and finish. I explored materials such as stone carving to strengthen my subtractive understanding and vision. Design process in college opened my mind to artistic possibilities though digital modeling and metal casting. After graduating from the School of Art and Design at the University of Michigan in May of 2010, I have been exploring sculpture in film production through puppetry and prop making in Los Angeles.
