Heidi Kumao Exhibits in Los Angeles

A&D Associate Professor Heidi Kumao will exhibit ​“Transplant,” in the group exhibition ​“Convergences” at the Armory Center for the Arts in Pasadena from Sept. 11 — Nov. 20, 2010. ​“Transplant” is a video sculpture that explores the lives of Japanese nationals and citizens who were interned in War Relocation Centers in the dusty desert of California during WWII and how they cultivated gardens as a creative outlet to survive their confinement.
