Gabriella Boros: The Stone Project

A request by Gabriella Boros for international artists to send stones results in paintings with stones embedded, reflecting on the artists and their work. In turn, each artist sent the work which sparked the original connection. 

The artists include: Margret Schopka, Germany; Frantisek Turcsanyi, Slovakia; Patrick Gonzales, France; Pilàr Roldan, Spain; José Freitas-Cruz, Japan; Esther Zitman and Sjef Van Duin, Netherlands; Elisabeth Eberle, Switzerland; Gabrielle Bates, Australia; Elly Prestegaard, Norway; Laurie Freed, Hawaii; Sven-Erik Bengtsson and Charlotte Buxbaum, Sweden; Nekoda and Gali-Dana Singer, Israel; Bianka Guna, Canada; Alberto Oliveira, Brazil; Wieslaw Jarmulowicz, Poland; Robert Stanley, Indiana; Agnes Marton, Luxembourg; Roberta Weissman Nagy, Croatia; Sahin Özbay, Turkey; Verna Todd, Illinois and premiering the commissioned piano sonata“Stones Falling Down Like Rain” by American composer James Lyons.
