Detroit Free Press Film Festival to Feature Jessica Frelinghuysen
Teaching Professor Jessica Frelinghuysen will show her new film on Thursday, April 11th, during the 2024 Freep Film Festival at the Detroit Institute of Arts. The film is part of the Spotlight Detroit Film Series of Short Films, which features the current Kresge Artist Fellows.
Frelinghuysen was selected as a 2023 Kresge Artist Fellow in Literary and Visual Arts. She collaborated with Detroit filmmakers to create a short film exploring her creative practice, expressions, and journeys as an artist. The series includes 19 videos, culminating with a vignette of 2024 Kresge Eminent Artist Nora Chapa Mendoza.
