Ceramic Artist Austin Coudriet Visits Stamps
Stamps welcomes ceramic artist Austin Coudriet to Ann Arbor for a short term residency from February 24 – 25, 2026.
During his visit, Coudriet will informally connect with students in the Ceramics studio as he builds a large-scale lamp form, and will give a public lecture on Wednesday, February 25 from 11 a.m. — 12 p.m. in room 1269 as part of Quinn Hunter’s introduction to Ceramics class. The Stamps community is invited to stop by to watch him work and chat with him over the course of his residency: February 24: 11 a.m.-5 m. and February 25: 9 a.m.-7:45 p.m.
Austin Coudriet is a ceramic sculptor, designer and educator based in Indianapolis, Indiana. He earned his BFA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2019 and has been traveling the country ever since. Coudriet recently finished a two year artist residency at the prestigious Archie Bray Foundation which followed long term residencies at the Clay studio Missoula, and the Clay art Center. He is a 2025 NCECA Emerging Artist and a 2024 Ceramics Monthly Emerging Artist award recipient. Coudriet creates large-scale sculptures and ceramic furniture, teaching his techniques in workshops nationally and internationally.
