Carol Jacobsen Publishes Study in U Penn Law Journal

“Defending Survivors: Case Studies of the Michigan Women’s Justice & Clemency Project,” by Stamps professor Carol Jacobsen and Attorney Lynn D’Orio, has just been published by the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Law and Social Change. The study analyzes the original 1991 caseload of the Michigan Women’s Justice & Clemency Project and reflects on the critical strategies and creative tools used to free 9 women from life sentences in prison. Carol Jacobsen has served as Director of the Clemency Project for more than 20 years.
