Audrey G. Bennett: "Design: A Quick Immersion"

Design: A Quick Immersion, a new book by Stamps Professor Audrey G. Bennett, was released by Tibidabo Publishing on February 3, 2026. The book addresses design as a ​“self-organizing, cultural system mediated by power, involving people with practices situated in places that generate products — tangible and intangible outcomes — that have the potential to fulfill purposes in analog and digital places.” 

School of the Art Institute of Chicago Lecturer Michele Y. Washington notes that Design: A Quick Immersion is a purpose-driven ​“wake-up call, urging design educators and professionals to ask the fundamental question, ​‘What is design?’ ”
