Established with the generous support of alumna Penny W. Stamps (19442018), Stamps Gallery is a dynamic center for contemporary art and design located in downtown Ann Arbor. 

Parking & Transportation

Metered Parking

The streets around Stamps Gallery are lined with parking meters. Meters are free on Sundays and after 6:00 pm during the weekdays. Credit cards and cash accepted.

City Parking Structures

The Liberty Square Parking Structure (Tally Hall) is located directly around the corner from the Stamps Gallery, at 510 East Washington Street. The Maynard Street Parking Structure, located at 324 Maynard Street near the Michigan Theater, is a five-minute walk from the gallery. These structures are open to the public (no permit required). Credit cards and cash accepted.

University of Michigan Parking

The Thayer Street Parking Structure is the closest U‑M parking area. There is also a parking lot on the east side of Thompson Street just past E. William Street, and the Thompson Street Parking Structure is further south on the right. Blue or gold U‑M parking permits are required for these lots/​structures.

Public Transportation

Please check Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority schedules and and routes on The Ride. Blake Transit Center, Ann Arbor’s central AATA bus station, is a 5 – 10 minute walk from the Gallery. 

University Of Michigan Buses

Commuter South and Diag to Diag Express are the most direct University of Michigan bus routes from North Campus to Stamps Gallery. Check U‑M bus schedules here.
