2×4 is a multidisciplinary design firm founded in 1995 by Michael Rock, Susan Sellers, and Georgianna Stout. The studio’s focus is on the dynamic visual display of unexpected content for art, design, architecture, and cultural clients. 2×4 works in print, film/video, web, and environment design on such projects as graphic design, wallpaper and film for the Prada New York Epicenter; environmental design for new Vitra showrooms; sets and costumes for Trisha Brown Dance Company; environmental design for a new building in downtown Tokyo with Tadao Ando; the editorial concept for a special issue of Wired magazine with AMO; and a new line of textiles for Knoll.
Co-sponsored by AIGA Detroit, the Professional Association for Design.
