Established in 1975 and located on the first floor of the Art & Architecture building on the University of Michigan’s North Campus, the Jean Paul Slusser Gallery is the primary north campus exhibition venue for the School of Art & Design. The gallery hosts an annual major exhibition of prominent contemporary work, along with the School’s annual faculty, student, and alumni exhibitions. Open call and juried exhibitions, selected from A&D student, faculty, and staff proposals, round out the yearly calendar.
The adjacent Slusser Lounge provides an informal gathering space for students and others in the A&D community. The Lounge may also be reserved for outside events, group critiques, short-term student installation projects, and short-term visitors’ residencies.
