Product renderings of a women's razor to explain its function and features. The curved handle and grip allow the user to have a confident grip. The flat face of the razor head and the pivot mechanism allow the user to keep contact with her skin. New blades are loaded by placing the razor head into the blade pack and pressing the pack's button advances a new blade and displaces the dull one from the razor head and into the built-in blade bank. When the user goes through the thirty blades in the pack, she sends it back to the company for disassembly and recycling.

This razor design challenges the “cradle to grave” manufacturing and use model of women’s disposable razors. Inspired by the safety razor, the permanent handle and removable blade system eliminates exposure to sharp edges during blade changes and optimizes blade recycling. Using life cycle analysis, the projected environmental impacts of her design proved more favorable after three years of use compared to typical use of disposables in that same timeframe. Considering many women shave from teen years through late adulthood, this design could reduce the two billion disposable razors Americans throw away each year.
