Pinar Yoldas: 2016-17 Witt Artist in Residence

Stamps is proud to welcome Pinar Yoldas as our 2016-17 Roman J. Witt Artist in Residence.

Pinar Yoldas is a cross-disciplinary artist/researcher based in Durham, North Carolina. Her work develops within biological sciences and digital technologies through architectural installations, kinetic sculpture, sound, video, and drawing, with a focus on post-humanism, eco-nihilism, anthropocene and feminist technoscience.

This fall, Yoldas will work with Stamps students to produce work that examines environmental issues, potentially including food toxicity, Flint water contamination, or the Gelman dioxane plume spreading through Ann Arbor's groundwater. On September 8, Pinar spoke to Stamps Students in the Michigan Theater about her work, her research interests, and what she hopes to explore during her time in Ann Arbor. Watch the video below for her full talk.
