Howard White is a creative professional living and working in the Ann Arbor area. The focus of his work is interactive design and interaction design, using a wide range of visual media technologies to create compelling and engaging experiences for the public. His clients include both Fortune 500 companies, local and national museums, and exhibit and design companies from around the country.
He is the owner of The OmniMedia Group, an interactive design and production company that produces exhibits and interactive media systems for tradeshows, auto shows, museums and corporate customer centers around the world. Projects range from touchscreen information kiosks to large video wall installations; from tablet programming to interactive games; from website design and production to interactive video capture/playback events.
His personal focus is on the study and production of time-based media, working with the most current tools and techniques in the acquisition and manipulation of image and sound content. He has created numerous video installations and projection mapping displays.
At The Stamps School of Art & Design Howard has taught classes in digital studio, time-based art, concept form and context, animation, and intro to creative practice.
He is also deeply involved with sound design and music production, having produced hundreds of music and sound projects for local and national clients along with his own personal work. He is a film composer, with a focus on long-form documentary films and short-form experimental films. Recent film projects include the original score for the award-winning documentary “A Space for Music, a Place for Everyone. 100 Years of UMS Performances at Hill Auditorium.”
