Biography

After completing a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Prachi worked in Tata Motors Ltd. for 3 years as an Assistant Manager. Her technical and commercial position allowed her an opportunity to directly interact with numerous customers, and helped her realize the importance of user-centric design.

She pursued an MDes in Strategic Design Management from National Institute of Design, Ahmadabad (India). This program, which has evolved around the idea of design thinking as a strategic management tool, broadened her perspective and helped her develop a holistic approach of looking at problems. She has worked on various classroom and industrial projects related to trends analysis, design research, system design, service design, business development, and user experience design. While pursuing the program, she did an internship in [24]7 Customer Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru (India) where she conducted a research and designed a user-centric solution for one of the major clients of the company.

Prachi believes that a design solution leads to positive impact when it emotionally connects with human feelings and exhilarates them with sensorial experience. Her interest lies in developing efficient and natural interactions in the healthcare sector that will reduce the complexity of devices and advanced technology. She looks forward to utilizing her experience in engineering, design, and business to cross collaborate across different domains. She wishes to utilize design thinking and system thinking approaches to create better solutions to complex, real-world challenges.
