Bachelor of Art, Art History (Minor Sociology), University of Connecticut


After receiving a B.A. in Art History from the University of Connecticut, Katherine served two terms with AmeriCorps where she advanced youth development initiatives including establishing a youth led public health community advisory board. As a Field Organizer with ServeNext, She independently organized advocacy campaigns for the expansion of public service throughout Connecticut and New Hampshire during the 2014 Presidential primaries. Her professional practice includes policy work in public health, education, criminal justice, civic engagement, and the environment for organizations including Community Health Center, Inc., Equal Justice Works, and Public Allies Connecticut. 

Katherine is a 2016 StartingBloc Fellow, 2017 New Leaders Council Maryland Fellow, and holds a M.P.P. in Public Policy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County where her research focused on cross-sector collaboration within the juvenile justice system. Collaborating across Maryland, she has mostly recently engaged in state and local policy reform advocating for the elimination of pollution in the urban environment to foster a healthy and thriving Baltimore community. Having a passion for public service, Katherine continues to advocate for progressive causes by amplifying community voices to combat social injustice around the nation.
