“Sad Dreams on Cold Mornings”, a photograph by A&D Emeritus Faculty Joanne Leonard is part of an exhibition at San Francisco Museum of Modern Art from January 16 - June 27. Entitled “The View from Here,” this exhibition examines the role of photography in shaping California’s image and how the state – and San Francisco, in particular – has played a key role in the history of photography as an art form. Artists include Ansel Adams, Lewis Baltz, Dorothea Lange, Ed Ruscha, Larry Sultan, Carleton Watkins, Carrie Mae Weems, and many others.
