Janie Paul gives keynote talk for the 25th Annual Exhibition of Art by Michigan Prisoners

Arthur F. Thurnau Professor Emerita Janie Paul is the co-founder and senior curator of the Annual Exhibitions of Art by Michigan Prisoners, the largest curated exhibition of art by incarcerated people in the world. After twenty-six years, Janie will share her knowledge and reflections about the significance of art making in prison, the combination of curation and pedagogy that makes this project unique, and what those of us outside the prison walls can learn from incarcerated artists. The talk will be virtual, at 7pm, Thursday March 18th
