“Swallowed Whole,” Heidi Kumao‘s recent experimental short film, will screen in the eighth edition of the Rencontres Internationales Sciences et Cinémas (RISC) [International Science & Film Festival] in Marseille, from 20th – 29th Nov. 2014. The festival screens contemporary work (documentary, fiction, experimental, video art, animation) that explores scientific topics including: fundamental sciences, life sciences, environment sciences, medicine, humanities and social sciences.
The film weaves together photos, animations, videos and sound recordings and takes the viewer on an abbreviated jarring journey through physical and psychological landscapes of hospitalization and recovery.
“Swallowed Whole” will be shown on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Bibliotheque de Marseille a Vocation Regionale (BMVR Alcazar), 58, Cours Belsunce – 13001 Marseille, France. Admission is free.
