Work by Stamps School Professor Endi Poskovic is featured in the Biennale Internationale di Opere di Carta at the Palazzo Fogarazzo in Schio, Italy from December 12, 2015 through February 28, 2016.
Curated by Valeria Bertesina, DI CARTA/PAPERMADE boasts the participation of 79 Italian and international artists from 33 countries who present a range of works in printmedia, installation and artist books. The exhibition is inspired by 2015 cultural theme “Conflict: the thin edge of the changeable balance”. Starting from this suggestion, artists have reflected on the topic “Ethics and Aesthetics, hendiadys or antithesis?”. The perception of the relationship Ethics / Aesthetics urges questions such as: should art teach something or simply be what it is? Should art give answers or make questions? Does an artist have a social responsibility? A reflection made with paper, considered both as support and as a material to manipulate and transform into a work of art, inspiration or vehicle of emotion and communication.
The Biennial is presented in Palazzo Fogazzaro, a residency once belonging to the family of the writer Antonio Fogazzaro.
