Detroit Performs Features Gail Rosenbloom Kaplan
The installation of the Detroit Public Library Literacy and Learning mosaic, spearheaded by artist Gail Rosenbloom Kaplan (BFA ’76) and her partner, Dani Katsir, will be featured on the Detroit Public Television show Detroit Performs on Tuesday, February 27. The filming was done at Macdowell School in Detroit, and shows the design and execution by the elementary and middle school students of the Michigan themed mosaic. The show airs on Tuesday, February 27th, at 7:30 pm and again on Friday, March 9th at 5:30 pm on DPTV (Channel 56).
A dedication of the 9‑panel mosaic installation will take place on Sunday, April 15 during “Family Funday” at the main branch of the Detroit Public Library (5201 Woodward Avenue).
