Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Accessible & Inclusive Events Resource Guide

This document was created by the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (ODEI) to provide a helpful resource for planning accessible and inclusive events and meetings on the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor campus. This resource guide compiles existing tools and information specific to campus venues as well as helpful tips about designing accessible and inclusive events. We reached out to a number of campus partners and accessibility advocates to ask for tips, information, resources, and feedback.

Organizational Learning: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Resources

This series of 25 short videos offers a unique, micro-learning approach to diversity, equity and inclusion education. Each video is less than three minutes long and the series includes titles such as, “Defining Diversity,” “Comfort Zones” and “Being Aware of Being Unfair. They have been organized to align with the new Lifelong Learning model to help address the specific goals of the university’s DEI initiative.

The videos were created by and feature Dr. Steve Robbins, a nationally recognized trainer and consultant on diversity and inclusion. Dr. Robbins was a keynote speaker during the university’s DEI Summit in 2016.

Report a Campus Climate Concern

A "climate concern" can include actions that discriminate, stereotype, exclude, harasses or harm anyone in our community based on their identity (such as race, color, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, age, or religion).
