The Print Media Studio is equipped for relief, intaglio, and planographic processes. It has 2 etching presses, 3 lithography presses, and a small Vandercook proofing press. For lithography, it has a library of approximately 75 Bavarian limestones, a large graining sink, and largescale plate supports. For etching, it has ferric chloride baths, a rosin box, and multiple hotplates. In addition, the studio is equipped with a Nuarc exposure unit for photoprocesses.
Training on how to use the equipment in the print media studio is necessary: please contact the studio coordinator.
In this Studio Spotlight, world renowned visual artist Ruth Weisberg (Stamps BFA 1963 and Stamps MA 1965) creates a lithographic print in the Stamps Print Media Studio during her campus residency in Fall 2016.
