Untitled: Self Portrait
Katelyn Wollet (BFA 2015)
Self Portrait I of V shot on 35mm Black and White film, exploring the language of the body, composition, and relationship of the internal self to the external space we exist in. The choice to use film (versus digital) took away the ability to immediately see the image and correct anything within the image that was not "good". It was an exercise in relinquishing control of self-image and to focus on the expression of emotion through the body. 'The only journey is the one within' - R.M. Rilke
