To Be Frank
Frank was an interesting guy, and for 19 years his grandson Derek was only somewhat certain of this. He can remember the smooth jazz on his grandfather’s car radio, the popcorn machine precariously placed, and those massive steel-worker hands, but Frank never really explained himself, did he? In the short To Be Frank, Derek searches high and low, basement to kitchen table, family member to family member, and home video to home video determined to prove his grandfather’s unique character and uncover the lost voice it’s tied to.
