Ryan Reiss: The Creation of (Little) Man And Other Wonderful Critters

The Creation of (Little) Man And Other Wonderful Critters

Ryan Reiss

My project explores joy and creativity in the adult mind through sculpture. Participants in my project were given a table of mixed materials to create anything they felt like. After the creation all the pieces were documented and eight of the designs were chosen to be made into giant stuffed dolls. The dolls are all made to accurately reflect their original designs in an attempt to give them more power in a life size setting. The audience is encouraged to play with the dolls and photograph their experience to add to the book of the project.
