By simply living one's life, countless opportunities to observe and document compositions of form, color, and meaning appear hour by hour, minute by minute. I watch for these ideas to present themselves in patterns that cause a trigger that inspires a combination of desire, music, memories, and history as I know, understand, or perhaps imagine.
This work is featured as part of Future Former: An Exhibition of Alumni Work. This exhibition honors the creative work and careers of all Stamps School alumni, creates an aspirational connection between generations of U-M artists and designers and current Stamps students, and inspires reflection during the university's Bicentennial year.
