Omitted Public Spaces
As living beings our bodies occupy spaces created from structures and objects. There’s a space waiting for you above a seat or a set of stairs. What happens when we occupy spaces not created for our body’s needs? These photographs investigate these unoccupied spaces as bodies interact with the overlooked and inevitable omitted public spaces.
This work is featured as part of the 2017 Alumni Exhibition: “Ambiguities/Innuendoes? Go Fish.”, on view at the Stamps Gallery in Ann Arbor. Check the exhibition page for dates, times, and hours.
