These paintings depict stories from my childhood in Beijing, flashes of scenes that show how much I miss the place where I grew up. The exotic creatures in some of the paintings are true to my experience. In one moment, I watch TV in my grandmother’s living room. I would always mess up the pillows and covers on the couches and she would call me “caterpillar,” meaning that I have many hands to move everywhere.
