This is the first por­tion of a year-long course that enables BFA stu­dents to syn­the­size their aca­d­e­mic and stu­dio work, begin­ning with an indi­vid­u­ally devel­oped project pro­posal and cul­mi­nat­ing in a thought­ful, pub­lic pre­sen­ta­tion that demon­strates knowl­edge of par­tic­u­lar issues, meth­ods, and mate­ri­als. Also required are a 1,500-word writ­ten the­sis (~6 – 8 pages includ­ing illus­tra­tions and bib­li­og­ra­phy) (max. 2000 words, 10 pages), an online pre­sen­ta­tion, and a port­fo­lio of your work. PRE­REQ­UI­SITE: Open only to BFA majors with at least 48 com­pleted stu­dio cred­its. FRE­QUENCY OF OFFER­ING: This course is typ­i­cally offered in the fall term of every aca­d­e­mic year, though sched­ul­ing may vary accord­ing to future term circumstances.
