Prerequisites: The Sophomore Review must be passed and all Stamps foundation studios must be completed prior to taking this course. These courses are ARTDES 100, 105, 115, 120, 125, 130, and 220. Suggested but optional are 210 - Typography, 211 - Sign and Symbol, and 270 - Visualizing & Depicting Ideas.
In this global interdisciplinary art and design studio, you will virtually engage synchronously and asynchronously with peers from institutions in places such as India and Qatar. This studio offers you the opportunity to expand your cultural learning by engaging collaboratively with international students to develop a project that addresses global wicked problems. Working in interdisciplinary creative teams led by local and international faculty from a range of creative disciplines, your team will learn to identify questions or problems of mutual interest and develop creative responses to them. Throughout this course, you will engage in cultural learning and improve your communication and teamwork skills, learning how to use visual thinking as an aid to collaborative creative work. FREQUENCY OF OFFERING: This course is offered occasionally in the winter term.
