The primary role of the Program Assistant is to assist in the Education department with office administration and the management and implementation of UMMA events.
Specifically, the Program Assistant will assist with staffing events, maintaining the program database, posting on the Museum’s student blog, and performing general office tasks as needed.
During public programs and events, the Program Assistant will be responsible for working together with other UMMA staff to ensure all set-up needs are fulfilled, interacting with the public, as well as frequent event photography and social media outreach. The Program Assistant will also be tasked with occasional graphic production and light text editing to assist with the maintenance of educational and interpretive materials. Writing brief event announcements and descriptions for the Museum’s triannual magazine and making updates to the website may also be required.
The University of Michigan Center for Sport & Policy (UMCSP) is looking to hire a creative graphic design intern to assist with designing reports, presentations, and other marketing assets before they go out to clients. We are seeking one student with a strong talent for all elements of design, layout, and typography, a sharp attention to detail, and good creative instincts.
