Alumni Volunteer Opportunities
The Stamps School is grateful to the many alums who contribute their time and expertise in helping to shape the future of young creatives.
We are committed to providing meaningful, rewarding, and fun opportunities for you to connect with current students and with your alma mater. From portfolio reviews to networking mixers, in-person events and virtual programs, there are many ways you can share your time and expertise in preparing the next generation of artists and designers for an incredible journey at Stamps.
Please let us know more about your interest in volunteering so we can find the perfect match for you.
Career Bootcamp
Career Bootcamp provides students with opportunities to learn the ins and outs of networking, interview skills, freelancing, and more! Volunteers will have opportunities to co-facilitate workshops, participate in panel discussions, and network with current students.
Immersion Excursions
Immersion Excursions provide opportunities for students to meet with alums in the creative field and learn about the culture and climate of various companies and organizations. If you are interested in supporting the professional development of current Stamps students, consider hosting an Immersion Excursion at your organization.
Recruiter’s Presentation
Is your organization interested in recruiting current Stamps students for employment or internship opportunities? Consider participating in a one-hour Recruiter’s Presentation on campus.
Jain Industry Partnership Program
The Jain Industry Partnership Program is a semester-long (January-April) initiative that draws on the strengths of corporate industry partners and Stamps alumni with experience in the corporate world. These key players are paired up with Stamps students to engage in impactful learning, networking, and mentorship opportunities, contributing to thriving and sustainable creative practices.
Networking Mixers
Networking mixers, held virtually and in-person, provide opportunities to connect both with current students and fellow alums. Whether the agenda is based on a current topic in the creative field or a more casual meet-and-greet, students always look forward to meeting alums, asking questions, and making connections.
Portfolio Reviews and Expo
Are you interested in helping current students improve their portfolios and explore professional opportunities in the creative field? Join us to provide expert feedback on students’ work, offer advice on how materials are presented, and recruit some of the most creative young talents anywhere for your organization.
Regional Events
Regional events are a great way for alums to connect with each other anywhere in the country. If you live outside of Michigan and are interested in networking with other Stamps alums, consider organizing or hosting a regional event in your city.
