Describing Michigan’s Art & Design curriculum, NASAD accreditation reviewers said:
“...if there were an option to start over from scratch, this is the program that would be built… the School of Art and Design and the University of Michigan have created an opportunity to lead the academic conversation in art and design in this country.”
The School offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees in art and design and summer programs for middle and high school students. Throughout its degree programs, the School fosters a commitment to art and design integration; requires international educational experiences; encourages connections to the rich academic resources of the University; and requires a robust culminating project and public presentation by all graduates.
All academic programs draw upon the resources of a top 10 research university and a culturally rich community.
