Hui Yang was born and raised in Nanjing, P.R.China. She moved to Michigan with her family in 2003 and completed her MFA in graphic design at Eastern Michigan University in 2007. She has been work in the Web and Graphic Design area for the last 15 years. Her clients include both Fortune 500 companies and design companies from China and United States. She has taught Web and Digital Media classes at the Stamps School of Art and Design, as well as Washtenaw Community College and other institutes. The focus of her work is interactive design, exploring her personal experience of the ways that Chinese and American cultures intersect. She is interested in how journey narratives and complex cultural relationships can be represented through digital media.
