Fiber work by Stamps Professor Sherri Smith is featured in The Box Project: Uncommon Threads,” a collection of never-before-exhibited contemporary fiber artworks commissioned by noted Los Angeles collector, Lloyd Cotsen. The exhibition is on view from September 11, 2016 through January 15, 2017 at the Fowler Museum at UCLA

The Box Project is about challenges,” said current Cotsen Collection curator Lyssa Stapleton, asking weavers who work in two dimensions to conquer three-dimensional space, requiring artists making art on a grand scale to work in miniature, and inspiring sculptors, painters and designers to create something with fiber.”
